About the event
For those of you planning to attend the Summer Meeting this June in Kansas City, I would encourage you to plan on attending the regional dinner we have planned for Sunday evening, June 23. We secured our annual dinner at a fabulous restaurant downtown, the Affäre where they serve all farm to table food with terrific reviews. (Menu here)
We will have a private room that also has access out to a public veranda outdoors plus there is a bar indoors adjacent to our room. The social begins at 6:00 pm on. If you haven't already, please register now to let us know you are coming.
If you come, please bring $40 cash to contribute person, which will cover food, tax, tip, and non-alcoholic drinks.

- Recommend Travel: KC Streetcar Stop "Crossroads"
The restaurant is located directly off Main Street and next to a KC Streetcar stop. A group of us will meet in the lobby of the Marriott at 5:45 pm and head over to the nearest streetcar stop.
The KC Streetcar car runs up and down Main Street, free of charge, with many access stops, some just a block or two from the hotels. I used the car while I was there and it is very convenient and clean. At this link is a custom map created for the KC summer meeting that includes the hotels and the restaurant. The map can be loaded on most smartphones; the hotels and restaurant are located on the map, and the streetcar stops are already there.
